True Bridezillas?
Last night on Bridezillas, there was one couple where I actually feel that the woman's behavior was justified. Of course her story is not over yet, so maybe she will get worse. Her fiance acts like a child. If that were my fiance, I would be just as angry as she was.
During a bridal shower held at her work, one of her co-workers was making a nice toast. During it, the fiance, who was standing only 3 feet from the toast-giver, took out his cell phone, flipped it open, looked at something, and then closed it. The "Bridezilla" did not even notice because she was paying attention to the toast, but this showed what a jerk the guy is. He also made some inappropriate comments (given that it was a work shower) and then acted like she was wrong to be upset with him.
A few days later, while he was supposed to be helping to decorate the hall for the reception, he was busy balancing a folding chair on his chin and then disappeared. All the "Bridezilla" did was yell at him for not helping. I could understand her frustration because she only had a couple of friends there to help her set up and they were running late to get to the rehearsal dinner. He didn't see what the big deal was and actually called her a bridezilla. This was one of the rare times that someone (other than the host) used that word on this show.
The other woman featured on this episode was rather dull. All she really did was talk about how the most important thing was that she needed to look good and she yelled at her mom for not wearing the right clothes to her bridal shower. They spent $120,000 on their wedding. While that is way more money than anyone should spend on a wedding, during one of the commercials for another new wedding show, one couple spent $30,000 on the flowers alone!
I think this show may have peaked early this season with the very worst brides appearing in the fepisodes epsiodes. They have gotten tamer as the season has gone on. Or have I just started to understand them more because I am becoming one of them!?!!? Let's hope not.
