You've Been Gilmored!

Rory and her bangs were elected to be the new editor in chief at the newspaper. Paris handled it as one would think and kicked Rory out...landing Rory at Logan's. We figured out the attraction to Logan: He's mini-Christopher. Yes, Daddy dropped by this week to take a tour with Rory. He loved all the Logan being a bratty prep boy stories because, hey, that's who he was too.

Meanwhile, Lorelei and Michel bonded after Michel started having really great hissy fits about Luke doing repair work at the inn. Lorelei had to patch things up with him after she realized that the hissy fits had nothing to do with Luke and everything to do with Michel missing her. The things Luke puts up with...next up, Lorelei made him go to Friday night dinner. Of course she lied to her mom that they still had a wedding date and then lied to Luke that her mom was just confused by the wedding date. But overall, they acted like a solid couple; a fact they both recognized after Emily and Richard called Luke family. He even got treated like Lorelei with lectures on responsibility.

Next week looks to be a very special Valentine's episode of Gilmore Girls. Really, though. We've spent 6 seasons watching Lorelei realize Christopher isn't the right kinda guy for her...do we now have to watch her daughter do the same?

(Though to his credit, Logan didn't do anything unappealing this time out.) (And I promise to start letting go of the bangs...)

  • Perhaps Christopher will surprise us now that he's dazzled everything with his wealth. Eh, time will tell. I think that Rory is trying to be a good daughter...keep in mind that Lorelei *did* have to encourage her to do the whole sweatshirt, tour thing before it occured to Rory to do it. I still don't know how Lorelei feels about her moving in with Logan (and talk about a totally misguided promo...it wasn't nearly as jaw dropping as it was portrayed to be last week). I still want Lorelei to kick Luke in the shins for the entire wedding date postpone thing.
